Meditation and Buddhism in Central Scotland

Forth Valley Buddhist Friends
welcome you to the Stirling Buddhist Centre

We offer support and guidance on meditation and Buddhism for people in the Central Scotland area.

We are affiliated with the Friends of the Western Buddhist Order. Our level of experience varies from complete beginners to those who are more advanced in their practice. We are an informal and friendly group of all ages and backgrounds, both men and women, and are always happy to welcome people new to the centre.

Feel free to drop in any Thursday evening.

Relaxation Area

We hold a weekly meeting with meditation, talks, discussions, and occasional visiting speakers, and you don't need to be a Buddhist to benefit from coming along.

On this web site you can find out more about us, as well as Buddhism and the different types of meditation we usually practice.

Please have a look at the programme section to find out about our February 2008 to June 2008 programme and our regular meetings and events.

See our latest Newsletter pdf (Winter 2006/2007).

If you have any queries about the Stirling Buddhist Centre, please get in touch.

The Stirling Buddhist Centre is run on an informal basis by Forth Valley Buddhist Friends, a group of volunteers. The rooms we use on a Thursday night, for weekend meditation courses and other meetings, have been kindly hired to us by The Alcohol Support & Counselling Service since 1997. This has allowed a degree of continuity for our meetings and meditation days, we do however aspire to have permanent premises sometime in the future.
